Privacy policy
Scan & Go is built to help people in Greece make more informed food choices without asking for an account or building a profile about them.
What we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, payment details, or other personal information through Scan & Go. There is no login and no user account.
Food scans, photos, barcodes, and the information you enter or view in the app are not sent to us or stored on our servers. They remain on your device, unless a future version of the app clearly tells you otherwise before a feature is used.
We may receive limited, anonymized analytics about how the app is used, such as aggregated feature usage and broad technical measurements. These analytics are used to understand what works, find problems, and improve Scan & Go. They are not used to identify you.
How we use information
Anonymous analytics may be used to measure performance, understand which features are helpful, and guide product improvements. We do not use this information for advertising profiles, targeted advertising, or selling information about our users.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell or share personal information because Scan & Go is not designed to collect it. If an analytics provider processes anonymous event data on our behalf, it may process that data only to provide analytics services to us and under appropriate contractual safeguards.
Anonymous analytics may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for product and service improvement, after which it is deleted or kept only in an aggregated form that cannot reasonably be used to identify a person.
Your rights
Because Scan & Go does not ask for or maintain an account or personal profile, there is generally no personal account data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. If you believe we may hold information relating to you, or if you have a privacy question, contact us at [email protected] and we will review your request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Scan & Go changes or when legal requirements change. The current version will always be available on this page, with the latest update date shown above.
Terms of use
By downloading or using Scan & Go, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Scan & Go does
Scan & Go is an informational food-scanning tool intended for use in Greece. It may help you read or understand product information, but it does not replace the product packaging, official ingredient lists, medical advice, or advice from a qualified dietitian or healthcare professional.
Use information thoughtfully
Product information can be incomplete, out of date, or affected by changes made by manufacturers and retailers. Always check the packaging and official product information before making a decision, especially if you have an allergy, intolerance, medical condition, or specific dietary requirement.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use Scan & Go lawfully and not to interfere with, reverse engineer, abuse, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its supporting services. You are responsible for how you act on information shown by the app.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep Scan & Go useful and available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available for every device or product. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LagBug is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of information displayed by Scan & Go or for indirect losses resulting from use of the app.
Ownership and changes
Scan & Go, its software, branding, and original content belong to LagBug or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the app for personal, lawful purposes. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app and may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Greece, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
